B.A. in 跳舞 provides students extensive training to develop and refine techniques in various idioms of 跳舞. 学生发展他们的 abilities through a wide range of courses combining practical and theoretical skills that emphasize critical thought and growth as an 艺术家. The department encourages collaboration across disciplines and provides opportunities to explore innovative areas in 跳舞 历史, theory, 跳舞 and technology, choreography, pedagogy, anatomy and physiology, and production. We highlight performance opportunities in the work of world-renowned guest 艺术家s, maintain currency in the 跳舞 社区 at large, and graduate informed members of the 跳舞 社区. Class sizes are small and offer each student individual attention from 跳舞 faculty.

When considerable geographical distance prevents a personal audition, the applicant may, with the permission of the program, submit a video audition consisting of phrases set by the program. 奖学金是 awarded on the basis of individual talent and potential, and are renewable annually if performance and academic standards are 维护. 试镜s will consist of a movement class, performance of a short solo, creative practice, and an interview with the faculty.

For those students interested in continuing their 跳舞 training on a less intense course, we offer the 小舞. A student choosing to minor in 跳舞 must complete a minimum of 23 舞蹈学时.
